When you can't come to Friskis, Friskis comes to you!
We are offering free weekly Virtual Live classes via Zoom on Mondays, 7pm GMT. This way we can all work out together even though we are apart. There is a mix of Power Hour and Friskis Home Edition. Both classes give you a proper and sweaty full body workout in only 40 minutes, filled with efficient and easy to follow exercises that work on both your strength and cardio. You work with one exercise at a time and at your own pace, which means you can adjust the workout based on how you feel today and you don’t need to follow the beat to the music.
The classes are also adjusted for a small space so wherever you plan to work out, in- or outdoors, all you need is a small area (4-5 sqm), good shoes, a mat or towel if your floor is hard and for the Power Hour some optional weights (can be a dumbbell, a filled water bottle or a bag filled with books, use what you have).
Friskis will be hosting the Zoom session so you don't need to have your own Zoom account. All you need to do is click on the Zoom link and you will be automatically taken to the class.
Participants will be muted on entry in order to make it easier to hear the instructions during the class. However, if you have any questions or want to share some encouragement, you can always unmute or write a comment in the chat!
We recommend that you keep your cameras on so that you can all see each other (but if you'd rather keep it off you are free to do so of course).
We also recommend that you set your Zoom to speaker view (rather than gallery view) so that you can focus on following the instructor (but again if you prefer you can set it to gallery view instead). Pin the window of the instructor if you want to keep that window big in order to see better.
If you plan on following the session on your phone rather than on a laptop then we recommend you to download the Zoom app. In case you are not familiar with Zoom and how to join a meeting/class you find more information here.
Feel free to use the playlist that we are sharing for each class. However, any music that gives you that energy, and inspires you to move your body, will do!
